Meet the Gunsmith
Jay Biesinger
Jay Biesinger grew up around firearms. He received a BB gun as a child, and for his 12th birthday he was gifted a Remington 870 Express Magnum shotgun, which he still has in his possession. Some of his favorite memories are shooting clay pigeons in the Utah Valley Mountains.
He served in the Utah Army National Guard from 2013-2022. He was an aircraft electrician, and deployed to Iraq in 2018 in support of Operation Inherent Resolve. Jay takes the same level of attention to detail and pride in his work that he learned working on aircraft and applies these skills to his craft in gunsmithing.
Jay has always researched, upgraded, and repaired his own firearms. He always takes every opportunity to learn all he can on various weapon systems. To increase in his gunsmithing knowledge, he attended the Sonoran Desert Institute and earned his Associates Degree in Science of Firearm Technology.
Jay is a certified UCSSA instructor and a certified Utah CFP instructor. His biggest goal when giving firearm instruction is to ensure that everyone he teaches has every tool in their toolbox to be a defender of themselves and of others.
